Secure to Walls
It’s important that you mount pictures, paintings, shelves, flat screen TV’s, and other objects to the center of the stud for the most secure hold. This protects your valuable objects from falling and getting damaged, and it also minimizes the objects from falling on you. Zircon StudSensor™ OneStep® and MultiScanner® OneStep® stud finders take the out the guesswork, so you can find the center of wood and metal studs in just one step!
What About Magnetic Stud Finders?
Magnetic stud finders only find the metal (screws and nails) in the wall, but they don’t guarantee that that the screws are in the center of the stud. If the screws/nails are at the edge of the stud, then you may be mounting objects to the edge of the stud or not even through the stud (and just the drywall).
|Zircon center-finding stud finders detect density changes behind the wall and are thus able to detect the left edge, center, and right edge of the stud in just one pass.|
|Zircon offers a wide range of tools that can assist you in locating studs, finding metal, avoiding live wire, leveling decks and fences, estimating paint and carpet materials, and labeling your circuit breaker finders. These tools turn what could be two-person jobs into one… and reliably.
Zircon OneStep® stud finders allow you to quickly and easily find the center and edges of the stud in just one step.
Depending on the reason, construction, and type of metal you're looking for, Zircon offers three different types of metal detectors for your price and needs.
|The industrial MetalliScanner® MT 6 metal detector locates ferrous and non-ferrous metal up to 6 inches deep in concrete and other non-metallic surfaces. It is the tool you need if you are sawing through concrete slabs or walls that contain rebar, conduit, or plumbing.|
MetalliScanner® m40 solves the difficult problem of finding studs in lath and plaster walls. It works by finding the pattern of nails that attach the wood lath to the studs. It can locate ferrous (magnetic) metal up to 4 inches deep and non-ferrous (non-magnetic) metal up to 2 inches deep. Use it to find plumbing, ductwork, rebar, nails, and screws in your walls, floors, and ceilings.
|The MultiScanner® i520 OneStep® stud finder is a multi-function wall scanner that is not only able to find the center and edges of wood and metal studs, but also has dedicated modes to scan for live wire and metal. The integrated Metal Scan mode detects non-ferrous metal, such as copper pipes, up to 1 ½ inches deep and ferrous metal, such as rebar, up to 3 inches deep.|
Leak Alert™ Water Detector
Prevent serious water damage in your home with the Leak Alert™ electronic water detector. Place it near water heaters, plumbing and toilets, washing machines, fish tanks, sump pumps, and in basements to learn of leaks before they cause major damage. It sounds a loud alarm the second it gets wet or feels moisture, alerting you to a potential water leak.
Place it anywhere the potential for flooding or leaking exists:
