The MultiScanner® i520 OneStep® wall scanner easily and accurately locates studs, joists, metal and hot electrical wire. A 4-mode switch provides instant access to all functions. A ultra-bright LCD screen indicates direction, edge, and center of studs. This all-purpose scanner is power-packed:
- Stud Scan finds metal or wood studs and joists up to 3/4 inch deep.
- DeepScan® mode probes further, locating studs and joists up to 1 1/2 inches deep behind drywall, paneling, or plywood.
- Metal mode detects ferrous metal, such as rebar or steel pipe up to 3 inches deep and non-ferrous metal, such as copper pipe up to 1 1/2 inches deep.
- AC Scan finds and traces live electrical wire.
- SpotLite® pointing system and audio alert automatically identify the target.
- In stud or metal modes, WireWarning® Alert detects the presence of hot electrical wiring.
