| In order to reduce future hurricane vulnerability, Florida homeowners are eligible for a
matching-funds grant of up to $5,000 toward improvements that will increase residential wind resistance.
To qualify, the home must undergo a Mitigation Survey by a qualified contractor or inspector.
The survey requires the use of a specialized metal detection tool in order to measure subsurface nail
spacing, and the location of rebar in masonry.
Zircon's MetalliScanner® MT 6 is the tool recommended in the Suggested Protocols section of the attached PDF document.
