| Why does my StudSensor™ tool fail to scan properly even with the green TruCal® LED illuminated?
The surface may be too thick or dense for standard scanning. While your StudSensor™ stud finder has successfully calibrated itself, it won't be able to detect increases in density to identify studs. If your StudSensor™ stud finder includes the DeepScan® feature, turn it on by clicking the ON button twice or using the dedicated switch, and re-scan. For additional information on DeepScan® mode for your specific model, please refer to the instructions.
If your StudSensor™ tool is in DeepScan® mode and continues to deliver no results, it could be that you started directly over a stud. Just release the on/off switch, move a few inches to the left or right, hold the device flat against the wall and try again. |
