Zircon Continues Innovation with New ExitPoint® XL500 Through-Hole Drill Guide

The new Zircon ExitPoint XL500 drill guide

CAMPBELL, Calif., February 18, 2022 – Zircon Corporation, manufacturer of the original electronic stud finder, introduces its latest advancement in through-hole drill guide technology with the ExitPoint® XL500. Featuring reengineered LED directional indicators and an improved user interface, the XL500 accurately detects exit points through floors, walls, and ceilings.

A fast, efficient, and easy solution to determine the precise exit point location for drilling or coring applications, the XL500, eliminates guesswork, rework, and needless holes ultimately saving users time and money.

“Zircon has been a champion in providing the market with affordable, easy to use stud finders, metal detectors, electrical scanners for decades, and the ExitPoint® is no exception,” said Sharon Gee, VP of Marketing for Zircon. “The reconceptualized XL500’s LED directional indicators and superior user-interface makes coring and drilling applications easier than ever. No other coring guide tool on the market can match the reliability and confidence-inspiring performance of the ExitPoint® XL500.”

Featuring two scan modes, the XL500 is capable of scanning through most types of non-metallic building materials such as wood, drywall, gypsum, brick, and poured concrete up to 4.5 in. (11.4 cm) thick in Normal mode and up to 9 in. (22.9 cm) thick in DeepScan® mode. Engineered for professional cable installers, electricians, and contractors, the XL500 is an indispensable tool for cable and wire installations, concrete scanning, and any time through-hole drilling is required.

The Zircon ExitPoint XL500 comes fully equipped with a hand-held receiver, set of target magnets, reusable adhesive discs, 9V battery, instructions, and protective carrying case.

To locate an exit point, one would place the target magnet on the spot to be drilled, then scan with the hand-held receiver in the same vicinity on the opposite surface of the target magnet. The reengineered LED directional indicators LEDs will point toward the magnet, then light red to indicate the precise drill location.

Available exclusively at shop.zircon.com, the ExitPoint® XL500 retails for $159.99 and is backed by Zircon’s limited lifetime warranty. For additional product details, visit www.zircon.com.
