The worst part is opening the Packaging!
Be patient and cut the plastic around the device with sharp scissors. The back of the packaging does not pull off as is normal with this type of packaging. Buy it, once opened your will love it.
GREAT! Our daughter gave us three several years ago. One under each water heater and one under the AC unit. They have saved us water damage several times. The one I bought recently I got for a widow friend of ours. I have recommended them to a lot of people. As crappy as the EPA designed water heaters are now, everyone should have a Leak Alert under theirs.

We bought several Leak Alert devices and right away it detected a new leak, and it stopped a much bigger pooling than we'd previously experienced. Very simple device that works very well in my opinion, doesn't take much water on a surface to set off the alarm. I gave a spare to a family member and it was much appreciated when a washing machine leak started - no flooded basement, just some wet floor due to the early warning. I recommend placing one anywhere a pipe could leak or a system overflow, They're like a smoke alarm, only for water on a surface. Great product.
These little units are not inexpensive, BUT we have them under every sink in the house. BUT they have alerted us to serious leaks and/or water intrusion from outside on 4 occasions. I have no idea how much the repairs to kitchen, bathroom cabinets and flooring would have been if we had not been alerted to the leaks. I would imagine the total bills would have been in the range of $5-10,000 and possibly more. These little things are worth their weight in gold.
